Talking Troyer Tunes Installed!!!

I recieved my Troyer Tunes tonight and installed them.I am currently running 87perf until i run through the rest of my tank. The install is very easy if anyone wants to know.If you can read you can install them!I had no probs freezing or anything like that.My truck started instantly after i flashed it and idled perfectly. As soon as you start putting your foot into it you can immeadiately tell it has alot more power. The tranny shifts nice and firm. The shift points are big improvement over stock. That is one of the first things you will notice when you take off is how much better the tranny feels overall. As far as power seat of pants feels much better even just easing into the throttle. The place where it really comes to life is between 3/4 and full throttle On the interstate it holds its speed way better than it ever has.I actually had to watch the speedo b/c by just barely giving it a little gas the speed starts climbing. Also it has a much more agressive tone to it now.
All in all i really could not be more pleased with how it runs and shifts so for everyone waiting you will not be sorry when you get your tunes I really need to go burn up the rest of my 87 gas now and have some fun with it!!
The bad news is that the power i have gained will be gone this weekend after i put 35inch tires on so that sucks.I am prob saving for 4.56 gears next!
Thanks Mike!!!
Kevin

Ya i just need to save for a supercharger like you built54 but i don't see that happening.Actually i would be happy if i could get it to run like yours does currently.I will prob be happy with it after gears,E-fans,pullies,headers and high flow cats.Unfortunately i will be broke after the tires and rims
It really does run great now though!!

Congrats, Kev!

It'll get even better after a few drive cycles as adaptive works it's magic

Hey MGD,the do i give a damn thing is pretty cool

gotts2bme and ride-red you should have yours next week by the looks!!
mitch you still have 2-3 weeks IMO!
Tex you have a long wait still. They recieved my worksheets on 6/20 so i am right at 10 weeks when i recieved them. They were actually done 3 days prior to when i got them. Also they must have shipped them quicker than ground with no charrge b/c it usually takes at least 5 days to get my order from them after shipment.
I agree the wait does suck!!!!I will never go back to a canned tuner again though after feeling how much better it shifts and runs now with custom!!!!!
There is no comparison especially since they cost the same!!!

I noticed it get much better with drive cycles on the 87 performance but the PCM seemed to really come alive with the 91 performance tune and adapted quickly. I really like the 91 performance for the short while it has been loaded ( 1st tank) and will take on a road trip to the mountains tomorrow. Will be interesting how it does as I climb

It will not have time for adaptive strategy on the 87 tune.In the morning i will be switching to 93perf and then i will leave it.I really don't see myself using the 87 tune that often.I went with 87perf,93tow,93perf.

I have pretty much the same experience. Once I got my battery issues fixed (lol), I finally got to give the troyer tunes a test. I also have the AF1 3.5. Throttle response, shifting, and overall performance are so much better (running 91 perf). No dead spots or idling issues. When just cruising around town, the AF1 is nice and quiet, and shifts are still pretty soft, but give it gas and it actually sounds like there is a V8 under the hood now. And I can actually accelerate up hills now, something I have missed since getting the 35s. Almost feel like getting 4.56s now.
