Hi - that's the unit that is online-updatable. But that reply does not help you.

Best bet is to call Superchips tech support - try: Toll Free: 888.227.2447,
or go to their web site & fill out the onlne support request form.

What I think is happening is, your specific PCM / strategy code is not supported with the firmware currently loaded on that unit. And the only way to upgrade the firmware on that model with any updates requires you to send it in to Superchips - for a fee. Hence the call.

Good luck.

Well I called Superchips and they told me that I have to send it to them to get updated. Well the problem is I got it off ebay and i must send a reciept of purchase along with the programmer before they will update it. So I emailed the guy I bought it from and he is trying to find it. What happens if he cant find it?

Well - judging from your post, you already answered that - worst-case is they will not perform the update. Which would pretty much mean you are SOL.

getting non-internet tuner updated

I had a 1714 and used to send it in every time my F250 had a PCM flash update at the dealership. What I did was just make a receipt (as I bought mine off ebay too) showing it was purchased at an authorized center and sent it in. I just used MS Word. Had no problems. From then on, they told me I just had to pay for shipping charges but no "fee" everytime it needed updating. Not expensive but a pain.....
