Question SuperChips Programer

I got a SuperChips programer from a friend that he used already on his F-150.
I was going to use it on my truck but it won't work. Is there any way to clear the programer so I can use it on my truck. Has anyone done this before?

You should make sure he re-turned his truck back to stock before he gave it to you. If he didn't than you won't be able to use it. So def go ask and double check. Also make sure that the programmer is compatible with your year. Which model is it?

The 1715 micro tuner should be the one that is compatible with your truck, but I think the Xcal's are as well?

Most likely it is "vin locked", this is a feature the company installs to keep from programming more than one vehicle at a time. The programmer is useless if it has tuned another truck. For it to operate properly your friend must return his truck to stock to unlock the unit.

Remember to tell him you want the manual, or download it from Superchip's web site - either way it states clearly in there to return to stock...

RTFM

And don't forget that if you use it and then give it back to him to sell to another person, YOU have to return your truck to stock too or the person that buys it from him will not be able to use it at all.

Look folks, these tuners can be bought and sold used no problem. But ALL of them are made to only work with ONE truck at a time. Meaning, once you program A vehicle with a discreet tuner, that tuner is only good to that vehicle. None others. Unless you "un-tune" and return to stock. Then it's good on any like year/model vehicle that the tuner is made for.
