Talking EDGE updates...CRAP!

I just took my edge off for some dealer service, and I decided while it was off to install the lightning software and run the updates...

NOW the tuner won't allow me to run any tunes(custom or standard) and it keeps saying Error F1, could'nt call edge cause it was too late, but you better belive I am going to be on the phone tommorow...

Anybody else have these problems???

Let me know what you find out, just curious to know. Did you flash it back to stock before removing it? You may also want to try and reflash it again maybe it didnt take right the first time or see if you can go back a version maybe?

Good Luck!

Angry

oh yea, it was flashed back to stock before I took it to the dealer...

But after talking to EDGE and the dealer, we found out that there is a NEW BETA software flash that edge doesn't have yet...

I am going to try the firmware @ version 22, and the calibration @ 27...

I know these are unstable, but thats what edge said to do...

I tell my dealer not to touch my computer without my permission, even if I go in for just an oil change.

G-Note,

I get the same F1 error after I come from the dealer as well. Mine always accepts the tune anyway. From what I've seen, you can ignore it. I saw it about 2 hours ago after have my oiled changed at the dealer and I saw it about a month ago after leaving the dealer. Did it say something about your hex not being supported?

Talking

Well I talked with the guys at edge and we tried almost every tune and since mine is a 07 he was suprised it worked this far...

We went with the version 22 and calibration 27... It shifted hard as hell a couple of times at first, but after a 300 mile trip it is fine as can be...

Also it would'nt take any tunes with that F1 code even the edge tunes and when it did start to program it would get about half way through and stop and say ERROR F1, then the truck would'nt start and throw 4 codes...

But its fixed now, and I know these are UNSTABLE codes but they work great, no check engine or codes just some rough shifting @ first..

What do you mean when you say they are unstable codes? How long is going to take Edge to get you a new calibration?

it is not unstable.. I have been using that for about 4 months. They call it unstable untill there is 1000 downloads.
