Data logging & Updated Tunes from Troyer

I'm considering a Troyer custom tune for my 07 and was wondering how many of you actually send in the data files for Mike to tweak your tune. Did you notice any improvement over the original tune or not. I sure would like to hear from the ones who have sent them in.

Thanks,

LegIron

Hi.

Did that. Upon review the tunes were confirmed spot on. This appears to be the case for most folks, provided few/ no other mods are present.

In the case of approved intakes ( e.g. AF1), they can also be accurately accounted for due to the extensive R&D and testing.

Exhausts generally require no tuning changes.

Regardless, the logging was a blast to do. It's included in the price (plus the dyno time if you don't have a wideband), so no reason not to do it.

Cheers
Bubba

Good to know that the tune was correct right out of the box. This explains why so few people actually do any follow ups with Mike.

Thanks,

I have to confess that I was lazy but fortunate that Mike had a Dyno day shortly after I got my tunes. I drove 7 hours to get to Mike's shop and have him spend a little extra time to do my datalogging and really tweak the tunes I had. I could not be happier with the performance and at the same time the AF1 3.5" came out so I was able to get that as well. Fantastic service is all I have to say !!

datalogging checks your air/fuel mixture and timing to ensure you are running safely

thank you. How much of a difference do these tuners really make on the 5.4 3v? I had a superchips tuner on my old 03 4.6 screw, and it woke it up pretty good, but nothing too awful special.
