Okay finally contacted Edge, and the only help that they were, was that the Lightning program is not compatible with Windows Vista. FYI by the way. The guy told me to get to a computer with XP and call him back. Finally got to the computer, got the software installed, tried calling him back, to no avail though. Tried for an hour and a half, still nothing. Eventually I figured out the correct update I needed by comparing the Hex codes from my truck, to the fixes in the updates and I got it working. Im impressed with the prgrammer, dissappointed with the customer support.

I contacted EDGE about a year ago to point out to them that their EDGE drivers were not compatible with Vista and Windows XP x64. At that time, the manufacturer of their USB device (silabs) had not released a compatible driver and EDGE was not overly concerned about not being able to support users moving to the latest versions of Windows. I realized over the past week that silabs has infact released a new version of their driver compatible with these operating systems, so I tried contacting EDGE again to see if they planned on updating their software with the latest drivers. Of course, I have received no response.... which is probably does not surprise to you. EDGE just does not seem concerned about providing good customer support anymore.

Im in central FL, Hardee to be exact, and I did get ahold of one guy, his names Aaron @ EXT. 129...LOL. The only helpful advice he gave me is that the new sotware is about 3 weeks out. Lets wait and see if that holds any water. If it doesnt, Im gonna have to drive down the road to my buddies house to connect to the computer.
