Opps, duhhh - Correct, he has one pending , don't want to erase that , there hard enough to get . Like Kev says "write those pending #'s down " after getting it scanned @ auto zone or wherever..
Glad you caught that dude -

It accelerates fine, and it's slipping. Exactly what codes should I be getting? Where am I getting these codes off of.
Thanks for all your help everyone.

I suggest you go buy a haynes manual or similar to better understand if your interested.Since you are not familiar with working on vehicles i think your best to bring it to a garage and have it repaired.Every time your CEL comes on that means your computer has detected a prob and has a code stored.A scan tool can then be hooked up to your OBD for the code ##.This number scanned will help you find and fix the prob.

The light comes on and off while driving and is not constantly on.
I am not sure on them cheacking it but point being that code is in there. It has detected a problem and can be extracted.Example my truck had a prob last year and never kicked a code.I had it scanned at a garage w/o light and a code was extracted for faulty IAC.
Hey , don't touch the screen - I don't think his ink is dry yet
You have a code stored - there doesn't have to be a light on , get it read .
Auto Zone will do this FREE of charge - ask them and they will say sure and come out to your truck , plug there scanner into your computer and tell you what's wrong - they receive numbers in there reader , you need to copy these down and tell us what they are...
Same thing what Kev said - maybe two's better than one ehh

Thanks, I think one is open right now I'll go see and post the numbers. If not I will post tomorrow.
I just called auto zone and they said its $161 deposit and I take it home and use it then I got to bring it back to get my money back? And he said the light has to be continuously on to use it, and its not. Right now it just pops on and off. WTF!
Dude said it seems like the tranny.

Well that's not true at all - not with these PCM's - your fault number/ers are placed in your KAM - Keep Alive Memory. It's very doubtful that they know how your comp works - we do , you have a fault # stored and that's what you want to retrieve - If they say the light needs to be on , just say you have Ford and a blinking misfire light that stores the number - just tell them to read the freaking thing if they want your business !!!
Hell before I had my own reader I would just stop in auto zone for a quick reading - they come out of the store and read it - it's that quick. You don't need to borrow the reader , scan it at the store in the parking lot , that's all they usually do .
Now your going to get PO300 - PO308 Most likely - Write the numbers down , don't let them diagnose - just say yah ok , but what are the numbers and they'll show you - write them all down and we can figure it out..
Do you know what motor you have - 4.2L, 4.6L or 5.4L --- what motor do you have - we need to know because theres two types of ignition systems in the 99's..It should say on the throttle body cover..Or take a pic of it ..

on me
Well i have one last thing,if you bring it to a garage and they re-flash your truck with the jet chip in it will prob be NFG.Before its flashed you need to find out if it needs to be returned to stock and how this chip operates. We still do not know what motor it has
I think you need to except the fact that some can work on vehicles and others can't.The ones who can't are at the mercy of garages or dealers unfortunately.I know i sure as hell can't help ya.You really need to buy a friggin manual for the $15
I'm not trying to be a jerk, just logical
Good Luck,
Kevin
