Edge High Revs

I got my Edge about a month ago. Not sure if it did this right away, but whenever I start the engine when it's cold it jumps up to quite a high rev, almost 2000, then it settles down fairly quickly to about 12-1300 before it finally drops down to about 800 or so.
Pretty sure it only went up to around 1500 before the Edge.
It may have started doing this after I took it out one day to install the Lightning software, I never updated it though.
Anyway, just curious if anyone else has experienced this and what should be done. I have it set on Level 2 with only the tire size modified.
Thanks

MIne does the same thing. I go to work early morning it has always done that. Even before the Edge.

ok, it's normal, but is it any good for the engine to go from 0 to 2000 upon ignition when it's cold?

short answer... yes. It gets the oil flowing faster to the parts that need it most.

Yes. It's pretty much an electronic choke.

Don't worry about it, everything is fine.
