Received my Xcal II

Got it and my AF1 intake today via UPS. I had to read my truck strategy and get it back to Crystal so they could make sure they properly tune it for my truck. It was so cool actually plugging it in and seeing it work for the first time. Man I am so excited just to get it even though I will probably be waiting another 4 weeks to actually get my tunes.

You got an awesome combination in the X Cal 2 and AF1...you'll be pleased...

Which AF1? 3.25 or 3.50?

He got the 3" ---> https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...11&postcount=5

wxscpo - You WILL be installing that intake ASAP, won't you?

Great combo - go detail to keep your mid off the wait. It's like time slows down or something LOL!

Cheers
Bubba

I started installing the intake last night, but had to stop when it got too dark and I didn't have a torx bit either. So I made a quick run to Wal-Mart got what I needed and will finish up the install tonight. Hopefully it'll still be light enough for me to snap a few pics when I'm done.

Reason I went with the 3" tube is because I can leave it on when I take my truck back to the stock tune for those trips to the dealership.

Man, I ordered my AF1 and Xcal II from troyer but I have to wait. I got the 3.5" tube so I have to wait until the custom tunes are done as well before they ship it out to me WAITING sucks!!! I want my tunes and intake now! I feel like a little kid waiting for X-mas and not doing real well. Oh well, hopefully it will be worth it when it all gets here.

Let me know how yours does? If it rocks

I know what you mean. Getting that box last night with the Xcal in it and just having it sitting there on my desk is going to make the wait even more excruciating. At least I can install my intake. I really wanted to go with the 3.5" tube, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning the intake to stock just to go to the dealership. I will let you know how it turns out after the install is complete. I want to leave work right now and finish it up.

No, by the time I ordered everything else the money well dried up so I couln't get the exhaust. Will have to save up a while for my next batch of mods that will include the exhaust, but that probably won't be for a couple of months.

Glad you got your shipment!

And hang in there, it won't be too long for your tunes, we're knocking them out quicker right now. In the past 2 days we sent out about 20 vehicles tunes

We actually had like 7 project vehicles hit us all at once, and then a bunch of custom blower tunes for the 5.4 3V trucks all at the same time, and that slew of custom work put us about 2.5 weeks beyond on our tuning in like 3 days, which I hated, but we have to do it all, and do it right. Right now we have increased staff so that we can do multiple blower installs at the same time while I am doing tunes - now if I can just find 30 hours in a day to get our web site vastly updated (pant, pant.. ) .

Thanks for your support & patience, everyone!

those are great tires, procomp extreme AT tires 35x12.5x18, on maxx 6 18x9. I have those on my truck but mine are 35x13.5x18. I wish i got 12.5 but they wasn't manufacturing 12.5 yet. Couldn't find 12.5 anywhere. I had problems with the weights falling off the rims, everytime I drove it. Finally 3 trips to tire dealer. they installed stick on weights. I also got xcal2, 3.5 AF1. and siso exhaust. My truck going back to the dealer tomorrow because of power issues in previous post "road trip". The AF1 3.5 wasn't hard to take off and I returned it to stock. I have the stock tires on now because of winter snow.

Is it absolutely necessary to install the factory intake when going back to the factory tune? What happens if you leave the 3.5" intake on with factory Tune? What about the 3.25"?

I'm not sure what would happen if you leave the 3.5" intake on with the factory tune, hopefully Mike or one of the other more knowledgable guys will chime in and answer that one. All I know is when I spoke to Crystal when I did my order she said that the 3.5" intake required the custom tunes while the 3" intake didn't.

3.5 AF1 will make the truck run to lean. check engine could possibly come on. Troyer performance told me I have to take the intake off if I go to factory tune. 3.25 you should be OK with factory tune.
