The way I understand it is once I get my tunes from them I get some dyno time and send Troyer all the data. He makes his tweaks and returns updated data. It's mail order but custom tweaked none the less.

Yes that would be the way to do it if you are going mail order for the tuner. Troyer has an excelent reputation around here and if you get your tunes then spin a dyno and send him the data logging and let him tweak it from there that would work great. I am just a big opponent of getting a mail order and then just loading it and driving forever like that without ever checking the results on the dyno.

I love how many people think you have to be a jedi master just to tune an engine. You could probably tune it your self with a little bit of experimenting and a trip to the drag strip. Then you could find out what YOU like the best. The only time I would hesitate experimenting,is in a boosted application. Then you really need someone who won't blow your engine.

TruBlu is right, your never going to get your BEST tune though the mail. Sure you can get a GOOD tune or maybe even a really good tune, but your leaving power on the table somewhere. That is not to say that a mail order chip from someone like Troyer is a bad thing. He obviously knows what he is doing, so if you want a mail order tune, thats probably the way to go.

But, if you want the BEST your engine can do, find a local reputable tuner, and spend a couple of hours on the dyno.

So, do you think you might be a little bit bias??? I didn't have any experience with a tuner before I ordered the Troyer tunes and I have had a great experience so my opinioned is biased. Now, I am not saying I have a closed mind about anything else available but I am very happy with what I have so why change? I understand what you are saying and respect "your" opinion. Do you see what I am getting at??? People have opinions and sometimes don't like it when it doesn't match their own.

I will get off my soapbox now. Have a good day.
