Well I got my edge today from UPS. It was actuly here on Friday but I was a sleep when the guy rang thr door bell cause I was working nights. The bad part was that it cost me an extra $94.36 due to duty costs and taxes, dam border guards. Well I will try and hook it up tomorrow. If I can handle the cold weather for a bit. Right now it is -20c with out the wind chill.. that is about -4 F for you southerns.

Double sided tape that comes with it sucks so I used the velcro. it works just fine.

Hi.

Unfortunate - had I known you were going to do this, I could have saved you the border grief and extra expense. The choice of vendor is very important

Word of caution - I'm also in Hamilton, and right now as you know it's still -20c. DO NOT flash the truck if it's this cold - it can fail & then you are SOL.

Either garage it overnite in a heated space, or wait until it gets above freezing.

Search for more info on this if you wish - it's well covered & not BS.

Cheers (bye-bye, Lakeport )

Had I know you lived in Hamilton I would have called you. I would still like to meet some day. Maybe we can find a place to meet for a beer before Lakeport gets sold
This also sucks cause I just installed it a few hours ago before I read your post. But luckly I had it in my garage for a while with the furnace on. So it was around the +2 area in the garage when I installed it. As far as I know everything went ok. I'll post a message in a few days and let you all know if the truck is still working fine.

I am looking to order an Edge soon - do you have a vendor you recommend as a fellow Canadian? I have done enough online buying to know that UPS needs to be avoided like the plague for cross-border shipping (USPS is the cheapest). However, the problem is that a lot of vendors will ONLY ship UPS.

If you could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Mine arrived last week. Running level 2 and enjoying it. Still working on the pod color match issue and should have an answer this week.
Not to rub it in or anything but I was in short pants and a t-shirt when I installed mine burrr.
