i just purchased my edge still waiting for the arrival. before i get it i wanted to find out what i should change as far a tuning my truck. i def don't want to screw anything up and i'm def a newb at it. any suggestions? maybe a few people list a few things they did and what they got out of it

 

You should do a forum search and see what others are doing, but here are my settings with your truck.

Level 2
WOT
Fuel 140%
Timing -.5 (crappy gas)
1-2 +20, 5250
2-3 +25, 5100
3-4 +12, 4700 (the 3-4 change in ford trannies is kinda a weak spot)
Idle RPM +50 (eliminates shudder at idle)
Rev Limiter 5650

 

Search and ye shall find the answer. This has been covered MANY times.

 

Just use one of the Edge "factory" tunes and don't mess with it.

 

Really, search. Many guys here have posted their custom settings.

 

My edge is programmed

Level 3

Wot Fuel +2.00
Wot Shifting 1-2 and 2-3 = 5400 rpm 3-4 = 4800 (weak point in trans)
Shift Firmness 1-2= +20 2-3= +18 3-4= +15
Idle +50
rev limiter 5800 rpm
timing +.50 91 octane
adjusted for 4.56 gears and 35 inch tires

my truck easily does a 1-3 second burn out without power break

other mods are 4.56 gears, afe intake, and flowmaster 40 series muffler
