Edge Mounting Questions

Im trying to get all of the questions out of the way so on Christmas morning I can install and paint my Edge with no worries. My question is which is the best way to mount the pod use the supplied velcro or the supplied double sided tape?

Id say velcro if you ever want to take it out, but i think im goin w/ the double sided tape cause i dont plan on taking it out. I painted my pod (took it out of the box before it got wrapped ) Ill try to post some pics for you to see, not an exact match but very close.

I started off w/ a coat of primer (Dupli-color Grey Primer)

Next i put a coat of silver metallic too try and tone down the charcoal grey
(Dupli-color Silver Metallic)

After that i sprayed 4 coats of Medium Charcoal Grey. (dupli-color Medium Charcoal Grey)

In some the light just kills it. . .

There is more in my gallery. Its a very close match, i have been trying to dull the paint some to get rid of some of the shine it has. I think it all depends on the light as to how well it matches. .

Also guys I know this is a stupid question but where is the best spot to put the velcro on the front of the pod or at the back? It doesnt say it in the manuel. Next week after I paint it I will use the double sided tape.

Did you not get two strips? I bought mine a year ago and haven't mounted it at all yet, its in the pod but I haven't perminantly mounted it so I don't remember but I thought it came with two strips. If not, you could always cut it in half and stick it both front and back.
Actually, I just reread your post. If your going to be using the double sided tape next week, might as well not use velcro at all. The pod stays in place pretty good with nothing unless you go over bumpy roads often. The velco may be a PITA to remove once you decide to go with the tape.

the double sided tape that comes w/ it sucks. I used my own double sided tape and put it on the door side, front, and rear of the pod. fits great, and its stuck!

yeah i tried using the tape it came with and it fell off before i could even get the pod on the truck so i left it without the tape and it stays pretty well without it
