Name that tune

Got the message at work Thursday afternoon from Anita that My Xcal 2 would be ready for me to pick up at Troyers on Friday morning. - Man, that message sure made my day.

I was right there, on time, at 9:30 AM, just like a kid at the toy store. Neal pulled my truck inside because it was only 15 degrees and taught me how to back up my factory tune and install my custom tunes. We installed the 93 performance tune and did that engine ever sound good when we cranked it up. Smooth as silk and a new exhaust note. Anita went over all of the paperwork, instructions and answered all my questions. And then I was gone - like the wind -. It is great - my truck - my tunes - just for me and the way I want it. I was home in about 15 minutes and my wife met me at the door. "Wipe that silly grin off your face - we have to take the grandchildren to Roanoke" Well, that shot the rest of the day - 50 miles over - 50 miles back and lots of traffic all the way. So I used this for the computer adaptave stage.

But today - thats a different story. Took her out this morning - about 17 degrees so I drove a little to let things warm up. Stopped at a stop sign - looked left - looked right - checked the rearview mirror - No cops - so I PUNCHED IT expecting the possibility of a "little squeek". Well let me tell you the "rest of the story" - In a micro second my 150 was in a fishtail to the right and those Michelins were ready to smoke so I shut it down because this was not the time or place to light it off. Mike really did a number on this tune because the low end torque and throttle rexponse are awesome. The main thing that you would notice first is that it pulles hard and smooth - like a rocket sled on rails. I must learn to keep an eye on the speedo because she will go well above cruising speed before you notice.

I would like to wish all the folks at Troyer a very merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year. Mike, Anita, Crystal and Neal, thank you for all your help and it has been a real pleasure doing business with Troyer Performance. It sure has been a pleasure meeting each of you nice folks.

Thats right TSDan - It's like driving a different truck. The improvement in low end torque is incredible. And you really notice the difference in normal driving – no more tranny gear hunting.

Ill secod that! I started with the edge and it tried its best to leave me, my friend and $15,000 worth of atv's stranded on the Arizona/New Mexico border at about 9500'. Then I went to the hyperjoke. ZERO difference over stock besides a crappy feeling shift in the trans. Best money I have EVER put into a truck and if you dont think I hav'nt poured some cash into my trucks just ask my wife.....
Mike did a wonderful job....Pulls hard, smooth and shifts much nicer....and my dealer can cram his "your 2-3 tranny shift delay is a direct result of the aftermarket intake and exhaust you installed on it" where the sun does'nt shine beacuse it is GONE now! What suprised me is the fact that the 93 tow feels almost identical to the 93 preformance......Super product!
Dont waste your time or money on anything else beacuse you WILL end up here anyway....Take the shortcut!

Wow - someone is going to swear that we paid you guys to say these things!

All kidding aside - thank you (blush) - very much - to Ken & everyone else!!

Seeing posts like that is not only obviously rewarding, but truth be told, also quite humbling. We take our responsibility to our customer's performance needs & custom tuning orders very seriously, and have worked hard for many years to refine our F-series tuning to be the class of the industry - which is why it takes a little while - but the results cannot be beat, as can be seen by the posts of those who have used everything else and then used our tuning. And it's posts like this that also make us work just that much harder on each and every vehicle we tune, as that is what makes an F-series owner's vehicle a pleasure to own & drive - proper tuning makes all the difference in these trucks, and we love to be able to light up owners faces, one by one by one by one by............ well, you get the idea.

Thank you every so much for the kudos, & Merry Christmas to all of you!

Faxed my sheets to Troyer towards the end of October - not sure of the exact date.

Mike must be getting close to having yours ready.

For sure it is well worth the wait. I just came back from taking my truck out for a run. It gets better after each drive cycle just like Mike said it would.

FYI, I sent mine in November 3rd and still don't have them yet, so you still have a little wait ahead of you.

It is tough Mickey -You would think that after someone turned 60 the need for speed would be gone. Guess again. Stopped by Troyers this evening and spoke with Neal about an Air Force One and dyno in February

This truck is now so much fun to drive and it will only get better. I probably will not go hemi hunting - not because I don't think I could whoop a hemi because I think I can - street racing is just not the thing to do.

Not sure what next after AF1 intake. I also have Flowmaster 50 Deltaflow SI/DO. I don't want to lift or lower so am open to suggestions. I thought a nice airbrush job on the tailgate would be fun (wolves, bears or a western scene)

Actually, everyone in this thread who is mentioning dates that they sent their sheets in, we are *well* past any such dates, so you have to have your tunes by now - it you do not, then give us a call, as something is either wrong, or your tuner is in shipment, as we are now at 20 business days from the time the CPW's are returned to us to the time we have the tunes done and send them out, just FYI.

And of course Ken, glad to hear you are having to much fun!
