I can say from experience ( cause I currently use a Hypertech) spend your money on something better than the Hypertech, IE:the Edge. it (Edge) is better in every way such as
1.) more power
2.) gauge display
3.) more tuning options
4.) programs in under 20sec, rather than 30MINUTES
5.) custom mounting pod
The above reasons are why I'm saving to buy one.
