Is the Edge worth it?

I am interested in purchasing an edge evolution for my 2006 F-150 and would like to know if $400 including tax is a good price. Will this device create a noticeable difference in the performance of the vehicle? I would also like to know how it mounts to the dash and if the mount is secure enough to prevent shifting or rattling during driving. Are there common problems with this tuner and am I able to adjust the settings for performance modifications such as a new intake? I appreciate your input.

Have you tried searching the forums yet? There are tons of posts about this device.... I have the xcal2 so I cannot comment on the Edge personally.

I like mine.

You might take the time to read the manual as well as the many hundreds of post.

go for it man! A tuner does alot more than you'd think. You can find the edge for cheaper than $400. I believe disountperformanceparts.com has them for $326 shipped
good luck

Discount Power Parts will be your best source for the Edge Evolution.
YES you will notice a big difference. Better throttle response and engine seems more powerful.
Pod mounted. No shifting or rattling.
No problems with it. Just read the instructions and it's very easy to use.
You can custom tune it or go with the tunes that are on it.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

I thank you for all of your help, but I have a few more questions. How easy is it disconnect the whole pod and unit if it uses double stick tape to secure it. Can you customize each level and the unit will remember the changes? Does anyone have pictures of how the installed the unit in the ash tray.

dont own one personally but ive heard the edge is a great product.

adding things like an intake or exhaust won't require changes in the programming

Oh your gonna notice a difference. The pod looks great and it doesnt move around. I only have one of the sticky stuff holding it on, and its fine. I wanted to use velcro, but I didnt want to run to wal-mart bad enough to not go ahead and put it in. As far as the ash tray mount,,,I have not seen any of that.
Do some searches bud,,,,you can find pics and post of everything you want to know.

I think the Edge is one of the "best mods". Did not like the "on top" of the dash installation...so I installed mine in place of the cigar lighter. Besides, "the Edge" is illegal in Kalifornia...so why show it off?

My pics installed....

...and with the Edge removed....for warranty work.

Very simple, velcro tape holds it in place (no rattling) and easy to remove for updates!

Thats a good looking set up sprey. How hard is it to read what is on the edge while driving, can you glance and see the numbers or do you have to look for awhile because of the angle of the screen?
