Hey Mike
Hey Mike
Mike i have a friend that just recently bought a 2001 f-350 4x4 crew cab with a 7.3 diesel. The truck had some kind of chip in it, A round type 3 position switch was mounted on the dash. Anyrate he had broke down in Canada and had to have the trans repaired and the computor replace as well. The dealer was very helpful on getting him back up and running, but it cost alot of $$$. They would not put the chip back on the vehicle either. They told him (Me Too) to get a programmer. Now he want's a programmer and wants to do the exhaust and intake as well. What do you reccommend? He is a Hunter and does alot of towing.
Hi FX4me,
I recommend that he gives us a call so that we can go over this with him in proper detail - that way we can make sure he gets precisely what will work best for him. Most likely I'm going to recommend using a Flashpaq unit for his 2001 PSD, but we would like to speak with him and go over a couple of options, so he gets what will serve him best for the least cost - please make sure to tell him to tell us that YOU sent him, so that way we will extend our F-150 Online discount to him as a favor to you (and hopefully he'll drop by some time here and join himself anyway at some point in time).
So if possible, it's best for him to give us a quick call telling us that you sent him - that way we can go over a few things, give him the best advice, as well as the best pricing - that is what I would suggest, & thanks for asking.
