As for my other question, how much does the Troyer Group Buy save me?
I haven't dyno'd or anything but the seat of the pants meter tells me it isn't the same heavy truck it was before and the transmission definitely shifts better. The high octane tune is even better but I could not justify the high price around here for 92. It has come down quite a bit so I may re tune but winter is coming and gas quality drops here in New England with winter blends.

Troyer is the best and will answer all of your questions, just pick up the phone.

I would recommend the XCal2. The 1715 with the 87 Octane tune is not worlds better than the stock tune. You need to run 91 or 93 to get any real gains from it. The 87 tune is towing capable on the 1715 so how good could it be.

Yes it is, my 2001 became a whole new truck, but I would go with the xcal2 if you can afford it for the best results.

Yes it does shift better but I talked to the Troyers about the 87 tune and they said that is mostly what SC touched was the shifting. Even that had to be modified manually later. I have an F250 which is heavier than an F150 so maybe it became a whole new truck for you but what gains I got from the 87 tune quickly diminished when trying to tow my travel trailer which sits high in the wind while towing and it kept my truck running at high RPM and never down shifting to OD. I went with the XCAL2 and will use premium gas because the penalty to do so is only about 6% more money which means that if you spend 400 a month on gas you will spend 424 on gas per month.
