Underdrive Pulleys?

does anyone have any opinions on underdrive pulleys? how much lighter than stock are they? do you notice faster engine acceleration with them? do they work well in conjunction with a tuner, intake, and cat-back? also does anyone know where to get them and how much they cost?

P.S. are they servicable in the future if any tensioner bearings go out?

I got a set of BBK underdrive pullies, along with all my other mods in my sig. These in no way affect servicing bearings, My engine seemed to rev up faster, so i know it had to make it a little quicker. Id say its worth it! I have quite the sound system, and at night with that up and all my lights on, the alternator still charges, so dont worry about undercharging, or overheating, it wont happen.

Hi flareside4life,

We are a strong proponent of underdrive pulleys, it's a great way to free up some additional power to the rear wheels.

We offer a 2-piece set that are specifically engineered for use on the street, and provide a nice power gain and are pretty easy to install - the water pump pulley is 4 bolts, and then the stock crankshaft pulley needs to be pressed off, and then our replacement crankshaft pulley simply bolted back on as a replacement, it includes the harmonic balancer as well.

If you have any questions on this, please feel free to give us a call, OK?

Thanks for your post, & good luck!
