I have the lighting software installed on my computer and I have downloaded updates for my Evolution in the past, I click check for updates and I get this:

Current available software version:
Software Version: v2.00.0022

Your current software version:
Software Version: v1.02.0148

So when I click yes to install the updates it opens up IE and brings me to a 404 page not found error.
My security is disabled and I'm using IE 7.
As you can tell from my current version I have not tried updating in a while, was there a new Evolution lightning updater update? Or is this possibly a problem with IE 7?
I was just wodering if anyone knew of a quick fix so I didn't have to wait till Monday to call Edge.

On a side note...
My programmer has been acting funny, not letting me edit custom options so I was gonna try to update it and ran into this problem...
I love this programmer to death but man has it given me some problems.

 

Not the Edge? Say it isn't so.

 

My understanding is everyone is at SEMA. Also edge is updating the lightning website.

 

I have had better luck just going to their website and downloading the lightning software. I have had the latest version for several months now.......it is v2.00.0024. I downloaded the setup file directly from there website links and ran it on my computer to install it. I had to reinstall the drivers just like the original install I did.

Everytime I go to that link it opens up in Microsoft Word and it says Click button below to download, however the button it not a link.

I didn't bother to check that, I wonder if they disabled it because they might not be around because of SEMA. I also did the check for updates from the Lightning software and I get an error that says that it cannot locate the file and that that usually happens whenthe server is down for maintainance. Might be best to wait and give them a call during business hours.

 

I tried it again today and it's still not working. I don't really have time to call them so if anyone else wants has any information feel free, thanks.

 

There is a new Lightning version, I just updated mine. It is v.200.0040. I haven't checked to see what's new yet. Mine updated right from the software, but I see they also have the version available for download right from their site.

Oh yeah, don't use the link I posted above....it just brings up that same word doc........go right to their website or open your Lightning software and do the check for updates thing. Good luck.
