This one is easy....get an AF1 and XCalII with Troyer Tunes.

You can get a "package price" only two real mods you need at this time.

Trust me...the tunes are hands down the best thing I have done for my baby....Troyer Tunes are so good, I am ordering extra ones to keep for various reasons. Mike finds ways to really wake up your rig.

Look around the forum, use the search engine and you will find hundreds of posts. There is no way we all cannot be wrong.

Best of luck.

Get the Edge Evolution first then the K&N 57-2556 second if those are the mods you want. I have both and they work well together.

Other intakes generally work fine also. There is a lot of marketing hype out there. Unless you get on it a lot, high RPMs and WOT, don't expect to see the HP gain claims.

get the intake first (or the troyer package). the intake will help a little and hte tuner will help out ridiculously. if you buy the intake second youll feel like youve wasted your money because youll have experienced the tuner

Get the EDGE first. Tuners are the best bang for the buck.

I'm sorry yours doesn't work for you (yet) but the rest of us who have working EDGE Evolutions with no problems are sick of your posts bashing them because they haven't released the update that supports your PCM code. Your real argument is not with EDGE products but with the seller who TOOK your money and won't stand behind your purchase. Instead of whining on all the forums about your problem, grow up and file a complaint with your credit card company or a consumer protection agency like the BBB. I disagree with restocking fees and don't do business with merchants who charge them, when possible. Your real problem is the merchant who sold it to you doesn't believe in customer service enough to eat the restocking fee for you (Remember, the customer is always right?). To coin a phrase from that merchant, "I wish you well."

file your grievance with the merchant and not edge. they make a fine product. yours is a very isolated problem, i have two close friends with evolutions on their 06's and they work fine; in addition to the people on this website who experience no problems.

do something constructive and get your money back from your merchant instead of your incessant whining

I have the si/do exhaust, intake and tuner.

If I had to do it over again, I would buy the tuner first. Best bang for the buck. I have the EDGE and was one of the original group purchase last year. A couple of problems on updates, but I really like the unit and am happy with it. But whatever tuner you like, go with it. Again, Overall it will be the best bang for the buck for sure.

Although the intake is not the coolest to look at, it is pretty good for stock.

I went with the Flowmaster 50 for a good sound. You really don't get that much in the way of horsepower with an exhaust mod in the rpms that I drive. But I do like the sound.

x2. I have an Edge and I love it. No problems at all. I agree with kd4crs, restocking fees are bull and a scam....but that's just my opinion.

Now, going to the original post, the Edge Evolution would be great to start with first. After you get the Edge and play with it for a while, then get the K&N. Good luck with your decision.

He bought it from a vendor that offers his own custom tunes and must not be bothered by seeing him bad mouth Edge. I might buy a second Edge just to use it as a paper wieght since my first one works so GOOD!!!!

I am going to say go with the edge and not worry to much about the intake. Save some money on the intake andd get yourself a dropin filter (i.e. k&n). I think you will be happy with that combo. Some of the money saved could be put towards an exhaust. IMO thats what i would do if I did it again.
