Hi f150bluemachine,

A "Group Buy" from us is basically a limited-time event where you get extra-special blowout pricing for being a registered member here on F-150 Online.

Many people use our Troyer Performance custom tuning for these vehicles because we've specialized in them for longer than anyone else, 15 years, and are well known for our results.

Our contact info is listed just below in our signature line here, you can call us at (540) 965-7123.

Originally we were going to end the Group Buy the last day of October, but so many people are still trying to get in on it that we're going to extend it a bit, at least thru the end of this week if not a bit more - so you've got a couple of days, but you;ll want to get in as soon as you can.

For all the details, just give us a call & we'll be happy to help you.

Thanks for your post, & good luck with your truck!

No, the Superchips 1715 is not the XCAL2. I just sold my 1715 because I want the XCAL2. When I bought the 1715 from Troyer in 2003, they hadn't developed the XCAL2 yet. I talked to Anita yesterday and Mike was in the background yodling that they were taking good care for me. I am sure they are and if you don't buy an XCAL2, don't waste your money on any other tuner. You won't be happy. I wasn't with the 1715.

Hi Buck50,

The XCalibrator 2 is the most advanced hand-held tuner on the market, and is designed for *custom* tuning, not your typical "canned" off the shelf type of tuning. We use it to load our Troyer Performance custom tuning into, so that is why you hear so much about it here - we have specialized in tuning these vehicles for 15 years, so this is why many people come to us for their F-series tuning & other performance needs.

What we do is to provide you with a set of 3 different custom tunes set up for however you sue your vehicle and whatever modifications you have done to your vehicle - and it can always be updated for additional modification you may do later on via email, too, so it's not a limited type of deal - it can always be updated no matter what you do to your vehicle, so customers use them for years & years, and it can even be taken to the next new Ford vehicle, too - the XCalibrator 2 works on 1996-2007 FoMoCo vehicles, for example, and each year gets updated for the next new model year.

I hope that brief info helps you to understand this a big better, and please feel free to give us a call if you'd like to go over any of this in more detail, or to take advantage of our Group Buy & get your special pricing, which we have extended - so the Group Buy is still on!
