Tuner blues
Hi I have two trouble codes on my truck and was wondering if you guys can help me out
I installed a Roush S/C after about 2000 miles I installed SCT tune and went to 8 PSI About 100 miles I got some trouble codes P0054 and P0138
did some data logging and found that bank 2 front sensor has a square sign wave and the other three had more rolling cures so I decided to switch the two front O2 and still had the same readings bank 2 front O2 sensor so that tells me its wires or computer or programing truck seems to run good but gas mileage is down to 11.8 was getting 13.6
below is the trouble code description from ford
P005x - HO2S Heater Resistance (HO2S11, HO2S12, HO2S13, HO2S21)
Description: Heater current requirements too low or high in the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) heater control circuit (HO2S11, HO2S12, HO2S13, HO2S21).
Possible Causes: VPWR circuit open.
HO2S heater circuit open.
HO2S heater circuit short in the harness.
Damaged HO2S heater.
Diagnostic Aids: Inspect connectors for signs of damage, water ingress, corrosion, etc.
P0138 - HO2S Circuit High Voltage (HO2S-12)
Description: The heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) signals are monitored for an over voltage fault. The code is set when the HO2S signal voltage is 1.5 volts or greater.
Possible Causes: HO2S signal circuit shorted to heater power inside of HO2S.
HO2S signal circuit shorted to VPWR or VREF in harness.
Diagnostic Aids: An HO2S PID switching across 0.45 volt from 0.2 to 0.9 volt indicates a normal switching HO2S. An HO2S PID voltage of 1.5 volts or greater indicates a short to power.

Both codes are pointing to the same sensor. Bank 1, sensor 2.
There is a problem with the cable/ connector, resistance to high etc..
The PCM is very specific with these codes.
The square wave you see is the voltage is to high and becoming clamped near peak.
Code 138 is the one setting the CEL lamp on. Code 54 usually does not.
If you don't have one, get a Ford specific code chart because most lists are edited to much and leave out some specific information you need and some just don't apply for a specific make.

I was hoping for some help here
Hay can I data log with this problem or would it set the values off and make the info useless
Are all four O2's the same
I heard the extension cable that come with the headers can be bad I check them with a ohm meter all check out fine
I also have a innovate LM-1: Digital Air/Fuel Ratio Meter if that can help me solve the problem
current O2's 14.4 average
11 min
22 max
If I put the stock Roush tune on I do not get the DTC
but as soon as I put any Troyer tune on 10 mile and code(s) are back

I guess I'm stuck with going back to stock Roush tune so my engine light is not on so I spent about 2550.00 with Troyer performance and got my engine light to come on .

First things first there bootleg...Did you call Mike and talk to him yet????
If not I suggest you do exactly that. Your last statement appears to be a direct shot at his tuning which is really not warranted. You need to call Mike before coming here and making a statement like that,..
I have known, and worked with Mike for quite sometime, and there is NOTHING he can not rectify about your tuning if you just give him the chance....540-862-9515, dial it NOW..
The call
Actually I did call they said they look over my tune and did not see any thing wrong must of had it sitting right there when I called and they blamed it on The O2's and said the wires could be hit by a rock on the road and put a pin hole in them that you could not even see .
But if this happened why does the stock tune work with no problems .
I know it sounds harsh but that is why we post here to get answer and to make others aware

CHANGE YOUR 02's!! I had extensive trouble codes with my truck ( only when I had the tuner programmed into it) and when I would return it to stock, the codes would not reappear. Then when I tuned it, on came the CEL. Well guess what??? We put my truck on the dyno and we found that my O2's were bad right from the factory, and the only time the CEL would come on is when I had a custom tune in it....He gave you the answer so now its up to you to do your part...
They can access anyones tuning information almost instantly when they call, so don't think that they were blowing smoke about having them in front of them. I spent the better part of a year with Mike and his crew and one thing I can guarantee you is that they do NOT BS about anything they do....Now go change those O2's...

Bootleg,
The upstream ones (sensors closest to the engine) are the ones that are for tuning. Those two upstream ones are the ones to be replaced. Bosch makes a good O2 sensor and are found in many oem applications.
When I changed mine for the first time, the oem sensors said Bosch right on them.
Good luck,
enb

Don Moore,
Excuse me - but we have provided you only with the tuning and a pulley for that truck, and that was *months* ago, back in early June - it is now almost October.
We have not installed anything on your vehicle, we have not provided you with your supercharger, and are are not responsible for any problems with your vehicle - despite that fact, we have in fact tried to help you, as you know - but apparently that isn't good enough.
Additionally, I have in my possession an email you wrote us where you clearly state that even when you change back to the stock Roush tune, and I quote "the code clears for a couple of miles then returns." That email you sent us back on August 17th, by the way, and as we always do, we have retained it permanently for our records.
As we have told you before, the reason the code goes away as soon as you load the original Roush tune, which, by the way, you are doing using OUR tuner to load, and that Roush tune is also the basis for the tuning that WE did, is that the process of flashing the PCM automatically clears any and all codes other than P1000 - which simply indicates that power to the PCM has been interrupted - which happens during flashing cycle or if you simply disconnect the battery. So anytime you flash the PCM, the dash light goes out - this is very basic - and then it comes back after enough time/miles - just as per your email.
The way to find out what your problems are is by proper diagnosis - you are not that far from us, you could easily bring your vehicle here, and if you would like to call me about this, I'll be happy to speak with you - we'll also be happy to look over the vehicle, test it, put it on the dyno, do the datalogging for you, etc., just give me a call at our number listed below, OK?
Just as an additional favor to you, I just how went all back thru each of your tunes, to see if there was any possible cause of an O2 sensor-related issue that would be because of the tuning - and there is none. Actually, I wish there were, as I'd be happy to say something like "Gee, I'm really sorry, but I must have just made a mis-stroke, you know, human error, and here's the fix." I'd *love* to be able to do that for you, but that simply is not the case.
What I would suggest is for you to make an appointment with us to bring your vehicle here for us to look it over, datalog it, and see just what's up.
I wish you well,

Thanks for the response I never thought that adding 200+ HP to a truck would be trouble free or inexpensive! Ordered two new O2's not in stock around here IM suppose to get them Tuesday, here's a copy of My Email to you at that point I never installed the stock tune only the three tunes from you due to the fact that its set up for 8 PSI and stock is 6 PSI so it was work to due, but that did keep the troubles clear. but also after some research I found that all four O2's are the same last time I talk to you on the phone I told you I switch the front two O2's with no change in the DTC. but since then I switch front to back I got different codes so this indicates to me that it could be a O2 problem like you told me from the start
I would love to come down if the O2's clear DTC see you on Dyno-day if not I will call you.
oh yea the new codes are P0132 P2195
List of stuff I got from you
Headers With cats
XCal II programmed for my truck with out S/C
Under drive pulleys
Plasma boost Ignition
Lower pulley +2 PSI
three tune setup for Roush S/C
