Jet chip/Question about the edge or xcal

I figured out how to install this jet chip.....It was a little time consuming but okay....The wife bought it for 50 dollars....Taking off from a dead stop I have not noticed any difference(sop)..But passing from 50 to 70 has definately improved....I would g-tech this chip but I'm really not interested in that.....I pulled a loaded open car-trailer yesterday and it does have more power in the 50 plus range....The truck is stock except for cat-back exhaust and now the chip....Don't even have a k&n drop-in......Here's my question though which is better in peoples opinions the new edge or the xcal?....Truck is a 99 f150 with a 5.4....If that helps.....

Obviously, it all boils down to personal preferences; what you expect to gain with a tuner. I recommend the XCal2 with TP’s custom tunes. I’ve had my 04 Screw tuned since 12-03-04 and it’s been flawless, no glitches at all

Ok, I admit I deserve both of the responses.....I plan on doing more upgrades to my truck...Just trying to figure out the most effective way to do it....Already bored with the chip that I put in it....Long term plan(2-3 yrs) is to supercharge it....If what I have read on these forums is as knowledgeable as it seems, then the xcal with tp custom tuning seems like it's a no-brainer...I'm assuming that the xcal can be reprogramed when I add the supercharger......

You won’t be sorry with TP’s custom tunes, they’re da bomb, and you’ll be able to get new custom tunes (via email) for any additional modification you might do to your truck in the future, and load them yourself onto your XCal2 with Live Load, a free download from the SCT website

Hi fordfriendly,

And yes, we can change the tunes any time you change the mechanical configuration of the truck in a manner that would require changes to the tunes - like a supercharger - and usually just simply email those changes to you.

Please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below for more details on this.
