Question about turbo tunes
Question about turbo tunes
Can I use the xcal 2 for the custom tune for my turbo? I wanted to know so I dont waste money on buying a tuner now and later on down the road when i get everythign together realize that I cant use the xcal 2 to tune the turbo set up
Hi NT,
Yes, we can do a set of custom tunes for a turbocharged truck - we've done that many times.
So if you want tuning for a turbo setup, the thing to do is to get together with us and go over all the particulars of how your truck is configured, so we can tune it appropriately.
I'm assuming this is going to be a future project, rather than something you already have together, also I would suggest talking with us about this - too many guys will go out and get some huge 76 turbo that won't spool up against the wastegate until high rpms, and not give really good lower-end performance, so this is something to watch our for. You want to have the turbo hitting the wastegate before 3000 rpm for it to be a real performer, as that is not a 7000 rpm engine - just FYI.
