Question How long should I wait?

Just bought a new 06 screw Monday and I have 90 miles on the truck.Already have Airaid intake and Edge Evo from 05 screw i traded-in.I have ordered Magnaflow muffler today. How many miles do ya think I should drive the truck before I install mods?I'm really ready now!!!

I'm in somewhat of the same delimma...I only have 1700 miles but the bug is really hard to ignore. I'm trying to wait till 5000 miles. My other main concern is the warranty. I'd hate void it on something that is defective but hasn't shown its ugly head yet.

I have almost 50k miles on my truck and now I'm starting to get into things. There's definitely no rush for me. I paid a lot for my truck so I guess I want to get my money's worth in stock parts.

Hey redrascal and ThumperMX113 does your cold air intakes make alot of noise when you romp on it?My airaid does.Just curious? Will get my stainless magnaflow muffler next week. When i get that put on I think it will be time for the airaid and edge.Ought to have about 2 to 3 hundred miles by then.

The sooner you put it on, the sooner you can start enjoying them. And the longer you get to enjoy them.

Hey rockfishy,

My intake makes some noise. If I keep it at about 2800 rpms it dose resonat some. Anything before or after that it sounds like a 4 barrel car opening up. I like it.

I have an 06' also. I wouldn't do any mods to it until I had my first oil change. I'm at 400mi now. I'm planning on changing my oil at 1K. I always take it easy on my new trucks the first 1K. I guess I'm old school.
