I've got a table and no chairs...

Well...I've got a blank XCAL2 and a 3.25 AF1 intake. Can't install AF1 until I get my tunes and the blank XCAL2 is looking lonely too. However, I did install my Magna SISO exhaust this weekend and I love the way it sounds. Just need the other three chairs to complete my dining room group. E-mailed Crystal on Friday with my strategy, so hopefully this week I can complete my package and see if this TP grin is as permanent as everyone claims. How about it Mike T.?

Well you can tease yourself by downloading live link and watching all the cool numbers and dials move as you rev the motor.

Did that till my laptop battery died.... need to buy an inverter to keep it charged. Good thing it's not the Dell/Apple fire hazard one

Just thought of something. Is there an interface module that can link these SCT's with these double din nav/DVD units?

Hi Mark,

Your tune will get done in the exact order your order came in, no problem. In terms of what kind of time frame to expect, I have about 12 in front of you, so figure that worst case, you should see it by this weekend.

I have to confess that I did something selfish that slowed everyone's tunes down by 3 days this past holiday weekend - instead of my normal 7 days a week work schedule, where I get much of my tuning work done on the weekends when the phones are turned off - over the Labor Day weekend I scheduled in 2 of our wrenches and we worked on our 2004 Cobra for 3 days & nights straight, trying to get the mods done that were supposed to be done before June of 2005 - well over a year ago. That's how devoted we are to getting our customer's vehicles tunes & parts done first, that we have to leave our own vehicles until dead last.

Well, after putting it off for 15+ months, I decide it was time to do a little something for me - so I did. It didn't give me any time off, just the opposite, I worked more than normal, if that's possible - but we did make some progress on our Cobra - a complete new fuel system from tank to rails, including a new wiring setup from PDB to FPDM to fuel pumps, a different blower, took the IRS out to replace multiple bushings, BA2400 MAF, 60# injectors, and the list goes on and on - and we STILL haven't fired it up yet, as I had to get back here on the boards and get back to doing everyone's tunes. So here I sit with my Cobra down for at least a week if not longer before I will have time to get it finished, and on the dyno and dialed in.

And I need to thank Neil & Donnie for all their help on the Cobra project this past weekend - great job guys, and I know you are even more anxious then me to see it finally finished and up & running!

So hang in there, it won't be long - we just do each person's tune in the order they come in, so that everyone is treated fairly - and thanks very much for your understanding, Mark - it's greatly appreciated!

Oh - and the table and no chairs bit was funny, too - thanks for the laugh!

Thanks Mike for your reply. Always great to see you pop on here from time to time and add your valued commentary to these posts. You are as committed to this on-line community as you are your own business, and we seekers of this information really appreciate it. You too Marc!

You are certainly not selfish for putting some time in for yourself and working on your own ride. Hell, if didn’t live so far away I’d come help you wrench on it too. We all need to make time for ourselves, especially if you have been at it 7 days a week!

I look forward even more now to receiving my tunes knowing that you are burning the candle at both ends to meet your customer’s needs. We are sincerely grateful to you for your dedication and personalized service. TP Rocks.

Hum... maybe Mike's getting the Cobra ready for the night race at Richmond on Saturday. Go Ricky Bobby...I mean Mike Troyer!!!

Pardon me for my ignorance, but why can't you go ahead and install the intake too? I'm looking at getting the Stage 1 package myself and figured I'd install the exhaust and intake and the tunes once I got them. You make it sound as this can't be done. Can you please enlighten this poor uninformed n00b?

Thanks!!

Well...here is my non technical version. Mike will have to fully explain.

There are two versions of the AirForce 1 intake, a 3" and a 3.25". The 3.25" will cause the stock setup to run lean. Mike's custom tuning will modify the air/fuel ratio and correct it. He advised not to install it until I was able to put the programs onboard.

Ah, if that's correct, then you don't need to get much more technical than that, hehe Thanks!!

Yes, Mark covered that very well indeed - while the exhaust system can go on right away no problem, he opted for the 3.25" version of the AF1 as an upgrade to his Stage 1 kit, which was a great idea as the 3.25" version of the AF1, gains the most power - but it also needs some tuning corrections, so he needs his custom tuning before he can bolt that on. And he will be getting that very soon, within the next day or so. I had hoped to get him done over the weekend, but I had a number of very tough tunes that were in line just ahead of him, so I didn't quite get to him before I stopped last night (sorry!).

But have no fear, he'll get it in a day or two, and then be very happy!
