Mike Troyer..the untold story

D@mn...I’ve got you figured out Mike Troyer!!! The reason you visit this forum and add your feedback from time to time is to get a feel for our personality. You identify the folks who have placed custom tune orders with you for their F-150 and you get on-line here and analyze us. You then take this info, along with the custom programming worksheets we fax in, and create our custom tunes based on this. Just as Chip Foose does on Overhaulin’…by adding a touch of the owner’s personality to the car, you create our custom tunes to the personality we demonstrate on this forum. OMG…you are to custom tuning as Chip Foose is to car building.

Now…what kind of tunes do you think he’s creating for me? I have to say…I’m a little worried now.

What about it gang…do your tunes match your personality?

Totally agree....93 tow is perfect for me...low center of gravity, yet powerful in all the right places.

Mike has been tuning my trucks since 1997. Wow! Has it been that long? Anyways, he has always delivered what I needed and has even suggested things that I would have never thought of. As for tuning for personality.... I am two notches past explosion so I think he adds a bit of water to the wine where necessary.

Actually, your personality will appear on the sheets that you need to faxed or sent to them. If you messed up the information then that's what you get. And I think if you have problem about that you can call them.

I have 3 tunes from MT but I run on the Race Tune all the time.
I have never even loaded the other 2.

Guess that sums me up

Hi Mark & everyone,

Now *that* was a funny post - actually, I used to post on here every single day, back when I had the time to do so - now I'm lucky to get here once a week to try to get all the posts caught up, so my technique of analyzing everyone's online behaviors and altering their tunes accordingly has kinda gone out the window!

All kidding aside, it's funny you mention that, as we *do* tailor our custom tunes for the individual, and we do certainly have some people that we have to tune for differently. For example, JMC we know has been pounding on his F-150's that we've been tuning for a decade, as does his buddy and a good friend of mine we all know here as "Neal the HP Freak" - these are a couple of characters that I have to be real careful tuning, as I know they are going to pound on their vehicles for everything they are worth - now Neal probably pounds on his *engine* harder than JMC overall, but then, Neal also tends to break more hardware - I think he's found every weak link in the F-150 and broken it a time or 6 - so these days everything he installs is vast overkill, and even then, will die sooner or later - Neal doesn't like anyone getting past him. He just killed a Lightning with his 1999 non-nitrous non-supercharged 5.4 F-150 that is running an 8.5:1 compression naturally aspirated motor with our full race cylinder head package - the Lightning owner was in disbelief.

So yes, there are a few characters here we actually have to tune differently for due to their personality/driving style - and God bless them, as we love it!

Pretty funny, Mark.
