Chips and more, warrenty void??
Thats a good question. And there is alot of good info on this forum about that. Try to do a search. But the quick about it is that the dealer ship has to prove that the mod caused the faliure.
I got a SHM chip in mine, never a warranty issue, K&N filter, exhaust, and even remote start, no problem. Even with a few km's over still covered anyways so I['ve been lucky with warranty stuff. Don't ask don't tell. If they were to argue a blown front pump seal because of a chip or intake they should go back to washing the cars. Most minor mods are warranty friendly so spend away my friend.
I had the same questions about some items. If you are in doubt you could always go to the dealership's Special Services department, spent a little extra money to let them install it and then you don't have to worry because if it messes it up they probably messed up the install. I did this with my remote starter. My dealership will also allow you to purchase the product and bring it in and just let them install.
