This is another nice thing about Troyer's staff, they will review what you have and recommend whats needed, and sometimes in a particular setups a custom tuner may not give you a big enough advantage to warrent the added cost... and they will tell you it not worth the added cost of replacing what you already have.... meaning "no sale" there are not many place these days you can call and get this kind of service without sales pressure....
im just wanting to find a way to get a little more power. im thinking gearing might be the best bet. or e fans. i want to see some seat of my pants acceleration without spending the dough on a supercharger
Wow, what a nice thread!
Thanks to EVERYONE for your support and helping out the "newbies," that's what F-150 Online is all about.
For "Budstuff" - personally, because I know the 1715's tunes very well, and of course I do our custom tuning, yes, I *do* feel it';s worth upgrading to our custom tuning, as all else being equal, the power gains are roughly double.
However, with that said, I too recommend calling us so that we can go over this with you, and determine just what it is you want to accomplish, how you operate your vehicle, etc.,m so that we can determine what will actually be the best route to go in terms of the best bang for the buck from where you are right now - I think it's always best to get that advice from us, so please do give us a call when you get a chance, & we'll be happy to cover all of that with you in proper detail, OK?
Thanks again for a great thread, everyone - you sure know how to make me smile.
