Edge Evo 2 cable to short

Is anyone else having a problem with their cable from the port under the dash to the pod location being to short.

In my expy, I barely have enough room to plug it in, and it is a major pain to pull the wires out and have to re-tuck them in the rubber door seal every time I remove the unit from my truck, which is every night.

THanks

I have plenty of cable with mine. I have enough slack at the top so I can pull it out far enough to unplug it, and I have probably an extra 3-4" under the dash. Can you maybe route it a different way under the dash?

I barely have enough extra cord to unplug mine. Could someone post a picture of how you have your cord under the dash?

Why do you remove it every night?

Stealth was correct, I prefer not to leave it in plain view where it could easily be taken.

May be a tempting item to a theif.

Yeah, then you'd never be able to go back to stock, that is if it'd be necessary.

jre86 call them and let them know it is too short, I called and spoke to Nate today and informed him my cable was too short and I was having a hard time removing the tuner from the pod.

He acted like I was crazy, maybe if enough people complain about this they will provide a longer cable or extention piece.

I did not care too much for the customer service I received from Edge today, more like a lack of.

I'm sitting here Reading this, thinking you are crazy, also.

I have so much slack in my cable, I wish it was shorter.

The cable runs from the OBD port to the LEFT and under the dash.

Your not trying to go to the RIGHT or something, are you?

The EDGE website does not have the updated installation manual for the 97-03.

Does your installation call for the cable to be run all the way over to the door seal?

In the 04-06 it is run under the dash and comes out a small opening between the dash and A pillar. Plenty of cable that way.

If I ran my cable to the door seal and up, it would be to short for our vehicles also.

Well..

We do have different trucks, maybe the way your cable is routed is different in your F150 than my Expy.

Measure your cable, if it's longer than mine I'll gladly swap with you so you have a shorter cable, and maybe I could disconnect mine without pulling the pod off and the cable out.

No, I am not going to the right, don't even know how that would work.

I go out of the port to the left underdash, through a small opening between the panels and then up to the back of the pod.

Kool Aid, your dash is different then mine.

Thanks

Ok.

I thought the dash in the Expy was the same, or close to an F150.

I pretty sure I saw an extension cable for sale on one of the parts sights.

I think my 02 dash is alot different than your 05.

Thanks, I'll have to look around for some way to extend it.

Hi,

In the manual it does call for the cable to be tucked in under the door seal which make the cable too short.

This might help. Go to the edge web site and clic on the Media tab.
