A question for Mike on 1715
Hi Mike,
The 1715 tuner is great. I sold my f-150 and kept my tuner. My brother has a f-150 that is a 2000. I gave him the 1715 and tried to install it for him and I can't get it to do anything. When I pulled the tunes out and put the truck I sold back to stock it worked fine. My question is there anyway there could be a fuse blown on his PC port. I know the tuner is fine as I haven't had any trouble before. When I connect it to the port it don't do anything. Any ideas would be great!!!!! When I plug it in it's like the connect plug is still laying on the seat. By the way I bought it from you. It's a good product and I have been real happy with it. I just bought a used F-350 with a 7.3 and it may need a tuner down the road. Thank You

I have a 1715 and I agree it is a good tuner. However, a SCT Microtuner for the 7.3 adds way, way, way more power than the 1715. Diesel tuners are able to add more boost--24 psi on my father's 7.3. Make sure you invest in a tuner for your new Powerstroke!
Thanks for the reply
Brian,
The 1715 we are wanting to install it on a F-150 with a 5.4L and it's a 2000
model. It shouldn't be a problem installing it. There must be something with the PC port. The truck runs fine and the check engine light isn't on. Maybe Mike will have an answer for me. Thanks again.

I done a form search last night and found a post on my problem.
I'll check the fuses and hopefully get it installed. I'll have to get with Mike or someone at T Performance and see what I can come up with for my 7.3. I haven't had a diesel truck before. So far I like it real well. I have worked on diesel trucks and tractors just not a nice ride HA!!!!! I went from a 5.0 to a F-350 super duty 4+4. I sure like the power. Thanks again.

Thanks Guy's,
I got a chance to look at the fuse box today and the fuse was blown.
I replaced it and we were off and running. Tunes went in like the were suppose to. Hope he likes it as well as I did. It will be interesting to see the difference between the 5.0 and the 5.4. He noticed right off the bat that it idoled down faster when it was first started. I'm sure he will find a lot of other things that have changed for the better. Thanks again.

GreenBuck50,The 1715 will tune from 96 to 03 all most all gas models. I think there
are a few that it won't. If I'm wrong someone jump in and set me right. HA!!!
The 1715 is a good product and the code reader is a plus also. I pulled codes a couple of times and saved me from the Ford store HA!!

Hi F96XLT,
Yeah, the blown cigarette lighter fuse is why the tuner won't light up when that happens, so that is a simple fix.
And yes, we can also take care of getting you a LOT more power in that 7.3 Powerstroke diesel as well, no problem - just give us a quick call & we'll be happy to help you with that!
