Need help with 1100 module

I have a friend who is selling his Superchip blue module for real cheap. His truck is a 99 F150 with the 5.4. Mine is exactly he same. Thing is, his code is ZZT4 and Im not sure where to look for mine. Ive read up here that it should be in the pass. door kick panel or something. Can yall help me out. I looked down there. The only thing that I saw remembling a code would be a white sticker on the actual pcm that reads; BOJ5. Would that be it?

Hi 5.4ever,

You will not be able to use that chip as it is - but take heart, as it will simply need to be reprogrammed to match the code of *your* specific truck, that BOJ5 code is what you are looking for, and there is a fee to do that. As long as he is selling it cheap, you just might end up with a nice deal.

If you like, we can handle that for you, just give us a call at our number listed below.

One last tip - the chip you are talking about would contain Superchips Inc's "standard" tuning for these F-150's, which has not been updated in some time, a few years, as they have long since gone on to make more advanced devices. Now it WILL give you some improvement that you should enjoy, no 2 ways about that! Just keep in mind that it is a single program chip (and is also a single bank style unit), so it will require the use of premium gas all the time.

Now if for some reason you decide that you would rather have much larger power gains, multiple tunes so you can run different levels of octane, and get much better performance, you might want to consider going with our Troyer Performance custom tuning, which we can deliver in our 4-program chip that wouldn't be much more than the cost of that old single-bank single program module with it's reprogramming fee, and you'd have 4 different custom tunes. I mention this just as something to consider, not to try to talk you out of this deal you are talking about.

Best of luck whatever you decide, & we'll be happy to help you, whether it's loading in the correct program for your truck, or providing you with our custom tuning for larger power & performance gains, we can help you either way.
