Question XCAL2 & ABS Light ?

Before I call Troyer I thought I would ask the question here. During the summer I pull my boat alot so I leave my truck in the 87 perf tow tune. Problem is after a 1000 miles or so my ABS light comes on and will not go off. When I check for DTC's with the XCAL 2 it says no DTC's found. I put it back to stock and the ABS light goes away and stays gone. Anybody have any ideas?

If it’s not setting a code, I doubt it has anything to do with the XCal2

I can't see where any tuner would throw an ABS code. I don't even think they can control the ABS module.

I didn't think so. I was just wondering why it would go away after returning to stock.

Not 100% sure but I'm guessing the reason its going away after returning to stock is because when you loaded your stock tune...you reset your pcm and probably cleared out any trouble codes you might have.

Hi MHP,

This has nothing to do with the tuner - the code clears simply because the process of flashing the PCM automatically clears the code.

So you still need to get to the actual root cause of that code.
