Ordered my Xcal2 and 3.25" AF1 :-)

Well I finally broke down and went ahead and ordered some goodies for the truck. In about 4-5 weeks I should be the proud owner of 87tow, 87max and 93max Troyer Tunes and a brand new 3.25" AirForceOne intake. Now the waiting game begins......

change the 87tow to 93 tow. You could just return your truck to stock for "87 tow"

I don't really tow very often, but when I do, I'll just fill up with 87, tow, then run the rest of the tank out with the 87max, then switch back to 93max. I don't really see a need to burn 93 when towing anyways....

Thumbs up

Interesting. I just ordered the same thing yesterday except I go the 87 performance, 93 performance, and the 93 tow.

If you haven't had the pleasure of talking with Mike Troyer then you are missing a treat. What a knowledgable and honest individual who really cares about his work. Not to mention he is quite the salesman.

I can't wait to get the tuner and the AF1 in. I am hoping that I can use my Edge Evolution for the guages that it provides and use Mike's tunes. Not sure if the Edge will allow this or not.

If the Edge doesn't work, you could sell it and hook-up a ScanGaugeII. I just hooked mine up the other day and love it!

Hi NCSU_05_FX4,

Congratulations on your tune & AF1 combo order - that's going to wake that truck up very nicely!

Each person's selection of tunes needs to be based on what *they* want and how they use their truck - for someone not doing a lot of frequent heavy towing, having an 87 octane towing tune is perfectly fine, especially in these 5.4 3V F-150's, as the power gains on 87 octane are still very significant - it's not like the 1997-2003 5.4 2V's, where they gained twice as much power on premium as they do on 87 - if not more.

Now if someone was towing a heavy load with any frequency, and over any distance, then yes, I'd advise going with a premium gas tow tune - but if not, then just enjoy the increased power for towing on 87 octane fuel that is easily had with the 5.4 3V engines.

Anyway, congrats on your order, & we'll get it out just as quickly as possible!

Just called up TP and found out they're sending my tuner today so I they can check the computer code. My sticker says TEM7, but that code seems to get reflashed by some dealers without any documentation. Anyways, the wait is almost over, woohoo! :santa:

Update: Tracking says the package left Roanoke VA and is headed to NC!

Update II: Package arrived in Greensboro NC at 11:52 AM, almost there!

UPS tracking says my gear is on a truck for delivery! Hopefully they'll drop it off before lunchtime so I can run home and check it out!
