ATTN:ALL EVOLUTION II BETA TESTERS (97-03)

DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR EVOLUTION UNTIL YOU RETURN YOUR VEHICLE TO STOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with Rob, and there's a glitch in the software that will not allow you to return the vehicle to stock if you unplug the Evolution.

They're working on a fix for it, so don't fret if you already have, but it's gonna be a little bit of trouble to get it back to stock.

I told Rob that I would get online and tell everyone. He said that they're having server problems at Edge, and he hopes that they will be back and running this evening with a fix. If not, then he will get back to us tomorrow. In the mean time, if you unpluged your evolution, then just drive the truck like normal, he says that it will be fine until they get a fix for it.

Um... We're beta testing a new evolution for the 97-03 f-150's, and I like the evolution better anyway cause it has guages, and you can create your own custom tune. And I couldn't afford an Xcal. Plus Mike won't tune a vehicle without cats.

There aren't problems like this with the edge for the 04+ trucks so YOU should have gotten an EDGE!

Could you edit the first post to say which generation of truck this affects? It kind of worried me for the past day until I came back to the thread and realized it was not the 04+. I thought you were talking about the BETA firmware Edge has up for the 04+.

Wow it sure would have been nice to get a phone call or an e-mail. I have been running like a mad man lately and have not been on here.

My son unplugged my unit when he was with my wife and she didn't tell me she just plugged it back in and reset it to level 2 for me because I have been praising it because i have had no problems and love level 2.

What gets me is this is a major issue and as soon as it was discovered we all should have been told because this was yesterday so had someone told me via phone or e-mail I could have told her and prevented this.

So sounds like my stock program is gone now. Wonder how screwed I really am.

Please don't take this as bashing people I am just mad at the situation not anyone inparticular but when a problem this big comes up you gotta let people know in other ways than just a message board.

Relax. Your stock program is not gone. Rob said that they can be recovered.

I thought it couldn't be recovered if you had reprogramed it. It was unplugged before being turned back to stock then plugged back in and reprogrammed.

I am just concerned that there was a pretty severe problem that needed to be addressed and no one was told by Edge unless they happen to check here.

I loved the product while it worked.

Just take it easy and call Rob tomorrow. Even if it lost the stock program, it's not that big of a deal.

hmm seems like a big deal to me..........I have a programer in my truck that I don't know what setting it is actually on I can't return my truck to stock and there was a known problem that I as a tester wasn't informed about after I did pay money for it.

What may not seem like a big deal to you may be to others.

I like Rob I appreciate the Hook-up and love the product just don't like being kept in the dark when there is a known problem with a product. I expect glitches I understood that when I signed up to be a tester..........however I got my unit just under 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a word from edge about ANYTHING, not a how do you like it, watch out for this, what is it doing etc, etc.
