Tuner for V6

Tuner for V6

anybody get a tuner or chip for the 4.2L? What kind should I consider? Is it worth it?

Hi Ironman,

Yes, we tune those 4.2 V6's all the time, and it certainly is worthwhile - depending on what year truck you have, they gain anywhere from 18-25 horsepower and well over 30 lb/ft. of torque - and you get more power all the time, at any throttle position or rpm, not just at full-throttle only. Also, the performance improves more than what just those raw numbers would tend to indicate, due to all the other things going on in the PCM's programing that hurt performance, and that we further optimize.

Simply put - proper tuning is the single best bang for the buck performance enhancement you can make, so yes, it's well worthwhile, and is why many people have us tune their trucks.
