The Edge for your truck ('97-2003) is currently in Beta testing. These are for the '04 (Non-heritage) to '06 models.

Well it finally arrived today.

Installation took all of about 10 minutes, the truck started no problem. The first thing I noticed is that it idles slower than stock. The throttle certainly seems more responsive on LV2 with a tank of 89 octane but I am not sure that I notice a bunch more power. The gauge displays are the best part in my opinion so far. I understand that I may notice a bigger gain as days go on so I will reserve final judgement but I am impressed so far.

The only other thing I need to decide is if I want to put my K&N drop in back. Not sure right now, I want to see if my ping improves with the Edge installed.

Ok, little update. I decided to update the unit with the latest tunes. Level 2 = WOW! This is what I was expecting, more power for sure, great throttle response and better shifting. Now it feels like money well spent.

I just return mine to stock for a few days and there is a big difference. Can wait to get my inspection so I can load lvl2 again.

does your AMPG work right, every time I let off the gas my IMPG goes to 30 and throws off my average

Mine does the same thing, but the average seems to be really close to correct. I say this because I have carefully tracked the mileage of the truck from day one and its pretty close to the figures that I calculate.

Quick question for everyone else, I am running level 2 with 89 octane fuel. Can I advance the timing slightly? Or would it be safer for the truck to leave it as is?

For every two points of octane over the tune octane baseline, you should be able to advance the timing by +1. In this case, Level 2 is designed for 87 octane, so you should be able to advance the timing +1.

Be aware that baseline octane for Level 3 is 91, though, so you'd need 93+ octane in your tank before advancing the timing.

I would not be able to advance the timing on level 3, the highest posted pump octane here is 91 and I dont plan on running an octane booster or anything like that.
