Evolution Installation

I am getting ready to install my evolution in my 2006 F-150 5.4L XLT. I have a couple of questions if I may.

1. Does the access panel on the drivers side just pop off? I believe mine has an air duct outlet in it.

2. What paint are you using to match the Pod to the dash color? Grey in my case. I have the dark shadow grey exterior which is not the same color as the dash.

3. Any words of wisdom before I start?

Thanks,
Tom

Not much help here. I am trying to follow the instructions. They only say to remove the panel and show a picture. They really do not say how to do it. I do not want to break any tabs removing it if there is an easy way to do it.

The same for the paint. I am looking for what type/color paint folks have used to best match a 2006 interior.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, the panel just pops off. That "duct" is just a hole and not attached to anything so don't worry about pulling anything apart there.

I went to the bodyshop at Ford and had them mix up a small batch of paint for me. Cheaper (IE: free) and more acurate that way.

Thanks a lot. This is what I was looking for.
