Diablo Chipmaster

Ok guys. I've used hypertech and superchip before on previous vehicles. i got a diablo chipmaster revolution and i'm wondering if it's really going to work like i want. right now, the truck is powerdyne charged with 11lbs, granatelli MAF sensor, edelbrock enlarged throttle body, electric fans, shift kit.....

Is this chip really what i need?

Take it from a guy who used diablo then switched to a TP tuned xcal2. There is no comparison whatsoever. The custom tuning from Mike will blow diablo slap out of the water, especially on a blown application. My diablo chip is now a relic of things past. (read: its a piece of chit that gets kicked around and no one will buy)

did you have a dyno tune on your diablo? Just trying to figure out the best way to go here. I'm supposed to go in a get a dyno tune on the diablo with 3 programs i believe.

Diablo told me they didn't need the dyno tune, it was unecassary but if I wanted to I could send it to them. The problem with diablo is, that they don't change as many parameters as needed. Sure, they change the basics but its the other stuff that really lets the truck loose. If you don't believe me, try it. Buy the diablo stuff, have it tuned, and see what you think. Once you think there is more to be had, call Mike and unleash the beast

There are two types of diablo chips. The red one, which diablo actually tunes, and the black one, which the diablo dealer tunes. If you ahve the black one, then you'll get a much better tune out of it, but after all of it I liked the idea of flashing the computer better. (makes it easier to pass emissions to when you can just flash your pcm and have no CEL or MIL
