Does anyone know of a chip or programmer for a 94 5.8? In my research i havent really seen anything. Oh, and if there is do you know of any real potential damage to the transmission? And how does the shift pionts feel?

I put a Hypertech chip in my 94' 5.8L with EOD4 tranny. Seems to help a bit but nothing that will make you sit up and grin about! Installation is a bear.

Just in general, regarding the shift characteristics, we do firm them up in the electronically controlled units, and we do that in a smooth, linear fashion, so that the shift gets progressively firmer as you give the vehicle more throttle - we also set the shift points for best performance. We also go over all of this with each customer when they place their order, we have a set of custom program worksheets for them to fill in (it's a simple fill in the blanks kind of form) that goes over everything in detail as well.
