Bundle of joy!

Well, I finally got my Xcal2. Had it shipped to a family member's house and picked it up yesterday.
I haven't installed it yet for a reason. I wanted to test the truck before and after the Xcal2. I took the G-tech I have in my mustang and was going to try it in the truck, well..... Its been raining for the past 5 days.
So I took the time to read through the instructions very thoroughly.
Now, one thing I'm not sure on. It states to make sure everything is off.
I have a Kenwood DVD, Navigation unit. Is it ok for the head unit to be just turned off by the power button? If so, I'm not sure if it turn's off the navigation system? which includes the GPS?

Hopefully I am not making a big deal about this? :o
Trying to be carefull.

Thanks

You're very welcome, and I'm delighted to hear you actually took the time to really read our docs - we do kind of inundate people with info in our docs, so many times they're just so anxious to install the unit they never look at the docs!

One tip on your testing - remember that, like it says in our docs, adaptive strategy will add additional power as you accumulate miles, so what you get right away is not ALL you will get, though you will see a difference right away. Also, when doing your testing, do your before & after testing on the day day, within a 90 minute time period.

In other words, first run it on it's stock factory tuning - then allow a 30 minute cool down time, during which you install our tuning - then make your second run. Then allow another 30 minute cool down time, during which you return the vehicle back to it's stock tuning again, and then make your 3rd & last run. That way you have back to back runs with your powertrain temps pretty well stabilized and with as little change in atmospheric conditions as possible because it's done within a 90 minute time frame - that's just one of the methods we use to show an immediate difference, though you will get another 10-12 more HP at the rear wheels once you have a few hundred miles on it thanks to adaptive doing it's work.

Good luck & have fun!
