I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this, but figured had to start somewhere . I have an 04 F150 w/5.4. Mods include Airaid Intake and recently bought an Edge Evo programmer. I had the Superchip 1714 prior to the Edge. Since I installed the Edge I have terrible drone/resonance from the Airaid at 1500-1800 RPM, with the Superchip I had some of the same, but never this bad. On the freeway even the slightest pressure on the gas pedal and the truck sounds like it is falling apart.

I am running the 87 tow tune on the Edge, with my standard shifting + 1 hoping to keep the RPM's up but that has not helped .

Anyone with the same setup that can help? Thanks!

 

Never heard of Drone comming from an intake?

 

Drone/Resonance???? Almost sounds like a 2 stroke dirt bike with a bad bog, if that makes any sense???

 

I have the same setup. I have a bit of drone in that same area. I added a little dynamat on the heat shield and that helped it out a bit. Pain in the ****, but I place the fault more towards the Airaid than the Edge. I had this intake with a Hypertech and a Superchips (long story) same drone on all three.
