Xcal 2 Questions
Xcal 2 Questions
I visited the troyer site and im fixin to purchase the xcal 2. I am wondering what all i can expect from the xcal 2. Will the xcal 2 make my truck not shut off? Will it make change my rev limiter. Will the xcal 2 give me more decisions than any other programmer? Is it difficult to install and is it worth the money?
Expect the unexpected. Your truck will come to life. It's truly amazing what's under the hood from a performance standpoint that you'll never know was there while running in a 'stock' tuned environment. This should also answer your 'is it worth the money?" question. An overwhelming "YES" is all I can say.
"Will it make your truck shut off?" -- not sure what you're asking here but, it's an incredibly safe and effective method to get more out of your Triton.
Rev limiter -- I'm not the most qualified to answer this one so, I'm going to defer it to the next guy.
Decisions -- Again, not sure what you're referring to... sorry bud, just not sure how to answer this one.
Long story short, I'm MORE THAN PLEASED with what Troyer Tuning has done for my truck. There are a lot of options out there on the market and I haven't tried them all -- I never will either -- I have what's perfect for me. Customer service, overall performance, and, most of all, trust is why I chose Troyer Performance.

I think the edge gives you more specific control of individual options. The Xcal has some.
That said...I'd still take the Xcal. I dont want or need specific control of all the options. I trust what Mike does and once he sets it I have no need to change it.
Its easy to install and use.
I'm very protective of my truck and would never put in a tuner if I didn't trust the programmer. With that said...I'm currently running the 93 Performance tune from Troyer.
