mounted edge tuner in ashtray

mounted edge tuner in ashtray

anyone have any detailed information re: mounting edge tuner in ashtray...i have seen KoolAids and have emailed with no reply...thanks in advance...jeremy

Sorry, I don't think I got your email.

There's nothing to mount.

Pull the ashtray insert out, and put away for use if you go back to stock.

Either drill a hole large enough for the cable end, or cut a U notch in the back wall of the ashtray.

Feed the cable through this new opening and plug it into the Edge.

The Edge unit then "pressure fits" into the ashtray.

That's it.

I'm thinking about doing that when I get my edge. I don't smoke and don't like people smoking in my truck so I'll take care of that. I've looked at some pics of kook aids and I like it.

I ran the cable through a slot I cut in the back wall of the ashtray, so you don't see the cable.

I removed the surround the first time I ran the cable, but now that I know where it goes I can route it with everything in place.
