Just want to pass on some important information. You may want to check that your level 3 program works correctly sometime in the near future. Some people buy the unit and never use the level 3 and are happy on level 2. This may be for numerous reasons, such a fuel prices and so forth.

My unit has a problem on level 3. The conditions are as follows: With a very light foot on the throttle and crusing about 50 MPH, the truck seems like it miss fires or stutters. This condition seems to be exagerated during a rough road surface, but is not needed. This is only with the level 3 program.

I have tried numerous things to try and correct or isolate the problem, including swaping with a friends unit, but with no sucess. Bill from Edge has been notified of the situation. I plan to be more agressive on here about my problem, which has been told to Bill about 6 weeks ago now.

Anyone else with this condition may want to post it here.

 

I thought there was supposed to be an update released a couple weeks ago that was supposed to correct that? I haven't noticed this issue myself, but I only rarely use level 3. You should post your hex file for others, maybe its a problem on trucks with the same hex?

 

I have the exact same problem. Have had the Edge EVO for aproximately one month. Only see this on L3. For this reason, I never use L3. Hope an update gets this fixed, it is very frustrating!

 

I got my Edge a week after the problems accured and updated the unit before the install. But havent tried L3 yet. Is this problem just with one hex code? Wulffy888 when was the last time you updated your unit?

 

I have the same problem too. level 2 works great, but it misses/stutters around 50mph on level 3. This started happening after I upgraded code about a week and a half ago. Before the upgrade, I had the same issue although much more pronounced and at 60-65 mph. Since I never really use level 3, I have not pursued it.

Mine does it also only on level 3......hex code RXCM4DZ.

 

Mine kind of does a "funky chicken" on level 2 under certain circumstances. It happens when coasting with the cruise on and going down hill, it just starts lurching like it is shifting in and out of OD. It's a little anoying and didn't do it before the latest round of updates.

 

check with Koolaid. I think it was his that was doing the same thing.

Only on custom tunes though. Does not seem to be a problem with the canned tune, only when I change something does it start acting up.

I keep hearing about a new update that's supposed to be a major revision, but it keeps getting delayed.

Hopefully they are working on this problem, and this new update will fix it.

 

To answer most peoples questions, I have tried almost everything to think of, including the last update. In fact, I'm pretty sure the level 3 program did not perform this way in the earlier versions. I am glad that others are finding this out now and not later, then posting it here. Edge needs to address this and fix it. I have been after Edge for about 7 weeks now to get this updated and fixed. Your support is greatly appreciated by letting them know.

 

I bought mine back in December during the group purchase and have not updated it yet and it has been flawless on all levels. Mabye you guys can contact edge and have them go back to the origional version. It seems like there are more troubles with each update by reading thru these threads. It looks like the un-updated ones are going to be like finding a 427 cobra soon....

I also have the same problem on level 3. I only ran level 3 for one tankfull then switched back to level 2. It's funny how I noticed it on bumpy roads a little more. At first I thought it was just me. Doesn't shudder on level 2.

 

Has anyone else had recent contact with Edge about this problem?

 

I have gone back to level 2 because of the jerkyness and saving the extra couple of bucks a fill up not running 93.
