The update does not fix the problem with the shudder. Level 3 is the only one that has a problem. Level 2 has been put back on my truck and everything drives great.

The problem only exists with the level 3 program.

I drove my vehicle today and mine too was not fixed, the problem still exists. I urge evryone who still has a problem to email their tech service.

I just received and installed my Edge today. No issues on any level. It has a manufacture date of 3-15-06... I wonder if it's a different program then the updates or this is a problem with certain HEX's.

I've had my EDGE for just over a month and run exclusively at Level 3. No problems at all. I ran several tests this week around 50 MPH to try to experience the problem you all have described with no luck. I don't have my EDGE with me right now, but I believe my hex is: RXCM5E4.HEX

I do run a few custom options on Lvl 3, which may have influenced my results

1-2 Shift: 5400
2-3 Shift: 5400
Rev Limiter: 6000
Timing: +1
WOT Fuel: 1.55
Top Speed: 200

... I think that's it. The only other MOD I have right now is the Volant intake.

Just for FYI, I drive an 05 F150 XL w/5.4, 4x4 for a work truck. I have noticed twice in the last week a mild shutter at about 45-50 mph when light on the throttle. Being a work truck and as I would be beaten about the ears if I did so, the truck has no mods. My supercrew in level 2 does not do it. I am thinking that something in the level 2 tune actually fixes an exsisting problem. The level 3, being a different tune causes the shudder to manifest itself to a bigger problem.

I'll check the hex code tomorrow and post it for info and comparison.

05super - We have the same HEX and an FYI - I had the shuddering yesterday morning still at around 45-50MPH.......Its not cool at all when it happens, you feel the entire truck slightly bucking - I look down at my RPM's on the Edge and they are going haywire......Just an FYI for you

Its back to Level 2 for me

Thanks for posting that, looks like Edge has a little more home work to do. They should go back 2 updates on level 3 when it worked right.

I am a new member who sought this site to try to find out if people were having problems with the Edge. I have a 2005 4X4 Lariat with the 5.4....purchased 2 months ago new...now with 10K on it. I installed the Edge with the level three program and have fought it ever since. I do not know if my issue is the same. I have installed an open air filter assemby and a 3" to two 2.5" series 50 flowmaster. In the level three tune...canned or custom I have a horrible throttle body drone as the truck maintains highway speed in either cruise or the good old fashioned foot. It seems like the slightest power increase orders up too much fuel? It is very annoying. I switched out a series 40 Flowmaster for the 50 hoping that would help. Not one bit of help...the noise is all under the hood. It is not steady. It comes and goes as the load changes ever so slightly to maintain speed. I have switched to stock and get absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. I happen to be a good friend with a MGR of a local speed shop. We tried a Superchips Programmer on the "highest" setting and the truck had no symptoms at all. I like the Edge for the display, but I to have had no luck in talking with them.

before I sold my airraid CAI, I noticed that if I added more fuel that the drone was much worse than when I left the WOT fuel @ the stock edge setting. Just food for thought, and no, I can't explain it either.

What did you replace the intake with? Did you go back to stock?

I put the stock intake back on with a drop-in K&N and removed the funnel shaped end from the intake. No noticable loss in power, and no more noise when towing.
