Question for Mike, remember me?

Mike figured I would contact you here as it is hard to get you in person anymore (success has its drawbacks).

I have been steadily modifying my truck since the last tune you gave me with the thought in mind that I would give you all the information needed for my next tune. I will have my Innovate installed within the next several days.

To my question;
With all my modifications my truck still would run out of power at 5000 RPM and shift at 5100 as was programmed by you.
This past weekend I installed a new ignition into the truck to replace the Accel coils and Taylor wires I was running. The kit includes LiveWires and Screamin' Demon Coil Packs. Now suddenly the truck pulls so hard with the blower that it will pull all the way to 6000 RPM in first. The motor is built so it will take it but I have a stock, recently rebuilt torque converter. What is the safe RPM range for this converter (1997 F150 4.6 4R70W)?

Also, any idea why it is pulling past the programmed shift point? It literally continues pulling all the way to shift. No flat spots at all. Kind of scary when it first happened.
I'll include my signature to refresh you on my modifications.

As soon as I get the Innovate working I will give you a call to discuss my next tune.

The signature is complete except I am now running a Magnaflow exhaust.

ONELOWF,
Yes I went up to .032 with no issues. I may be able to go even larger on the gap now that I have a decent ignition.

Your coil pack & plug wire change is not responsible for all of this, their output is not significantly more than the Taylor & Accel combo. However, as I'm sure you already know, you will need to call us at our number listed below to go over anything detailed, or to discuss your tuning, or whatever. That is not done here, because it takes literally hundreds of times longer to type than it does to simply pick up the phone and talk -

So as always, please - we must ask that you call us for details, & thanks for your understanding. I look forward to talking with you about what's going on now with your truck!

PS - That sure is one good-looking truck that must surprise a lot of people!
