Just got an email with tracking info from ups that my tuner is on the way.
Mike, if your reading this, my name is Tom and I had you tune for my powerdyne 6psi setup, 90mm maf, and 42# injectors. I never actually got to talk to you, I just spoke on the phone with Crystal and I guess she gave you everything you needed. I just wanted to thank you for doing the tune for me and I know, with all the good comments you get here on the forums, that I will be more than pleased with the results. After doing some research on this forum, I went ahead and replaced my upstream oxygen sensors, even though I had no CEL, with new bosch units since mine were factory original with almost 90k on them. Also ran some seafoam through the intake, replaced the pcv, fuel filter, and changed the oil. Can't wait to put in the tune, maf, and injectors and see what she can do. Hopefully I'll make some decent power. There is a dynojet near my house so I will be able to get you the datalogging you need to make changes, if need be, to the base tune. Can't wait!!!

I'm glad to hear you took care of those maintenance items - I probably made a note of some of those on the docs I included with your tuner, as I do a 7-10 page writeup for each individual vehicle owner that contains a lot of detailed info, including any maintenance items we feel they may be behind on.

Yours is a very common set up, and it should run very nicely indeed. I look forward to seeing your data, & have fun!

Well, the injectors, maf and tune are in. I have it on the 93 street tune and it feels pretty good. The only change I had to make in the custom options was changing the tire size back to stock because I put the stock wheels back on. All I have to do now is datalog and dyno and send that back to Mike so he can see if there are any changes that need to be made to the base tune. Overall, I am pleased with the results of the tuning from Mike. The truck is much more responsive and snappy then it used to be and I am getting almost the full 6psi of boost instead of only 5psi before the tune. I am suspecting this is because I am spinning the blower a little faster due to a higher shift rpm. Thanks Mike, u did it again!!! and I'll try and get the datalogging done and sent back asap.

 

You are very welcome - I love tuning those blower trucks, we make them feel Soooo much better when they are set up properly. I know it takes a bit to decide to taketh plunge to configure it with the proper hardware, but once that is done and our tuning is installed, the difference is well worth it, so I;m delighted to hear you are enjoying it, and we'll be happy to see your datalogging!

For everyone else - yes, the dates you guys mentioned are pretty much already done or being done right now - a lot of them are flying out of here very quickly right now - it would have been a bit quicker, but I got bit by the darned flu bug & that had me down for 3 days, darn it! That put me up to about 21 business days from where we were, which was 18 business days. But we're getting them caught up pretty quickly, so a LOT of you will be seeing tuning very quickly - I expect these boards to be packed with responses next week!

 

Will we get an email from ups saying they are sent? Thinking mine must be sent out being only a day after the other guy and he already received his.... Just any ideas???
