Xcal2, and the Wife...

I finally broke down and told the misses about my pending XCal2 order.

She way cool with it!!

No dog house for me, tho, I'm sure it would have been worth the exile...

Now, just waiting...

Sometimes they surprise you! Mine knew I was ordering. But when I got home and told her that it would work better with an AF1 that they would be happy to sell me at a discount, she said....................Well why didn't you order it then? Needless to say, I called the next day and ordered the AF1.

I LOVE MY WIFE!!!

Good posts - I think the main thing is to not try to hide it from them, as that just gives them ammunition with which to cut out cohones off.

Congrats to all of you who 'fessed up & got the OK anyway!

No fessin up here. My wife walked by my truck and the window was down, she stopped and looked at the gauge pod and column pod, and said, " Nice dials."
Seriously, when you get old you can do what you want ... your obligations are fewer...... she hasn't asked yet about the whistling sound under the hood.

Yeah, gettin older does have some benees Can afford more things; learn how to make deals with the wife of 38 years. My lady came to me last year and said she wanted some cosmetic surgery! I said "sure honey, whatever will make you happy...and by the way, there's this supercharger I've had my eye on!" Well, my honey looks hotter than most, and my truck is faster than most! Yeah, she knows what the whine under the hood is

By the way, I guess the trade off for the Xcal, injectors, MAF, dyno time, guages etc. is coming soon!

My wife has know for awile that I have been wanting to order the Xcal2. So when I told her I was going to order one she was cool with it. Her exact words were "If thats what you want, order it. Its your money"
I love being the boss.

I just tell my wife it came with the truck. lol I just use my hidden money and shes ok with that. She finds out any way because most purchases are on the credit card and she pays the bills.

Congrats! Kids are great! My 5 and 3 yr old love "Daddy's Truck" The louder and taller the better. My wife drives them around in a Honda Pilot. Nice car, but a whole different animal than the F150

Awesome man. My kid just turned one last weekend. Tho, I can still sneak in truck toys every now and then.

And, "I'm close to the top of the list." Hopefully this week??? Bad news is, next Friday I'm gone for a week, so I could end up waiting a lot longer before I ever install it...
